Amazon Prime subscribers are running out of time to beat the looming price hike. On September 15 the price of a monthly Amazon Prime subscription is going up from £7.99 to £8.99 in the UK, while the yearly cost is increasing from £79 to £95. You can beat the Amazon Prime price hike by paying for a yearly subscription before September 15 which will help lock in the current price of membership for the next 12 months, but that’s not the only way you can save – thanks to the Amazon Household feature which lets you share a Prime subscription.

Amazon Household lets you share your Amazon Prime membership with another adult in your household.

The person you share your Amazon Prime account with will get access to speedy Prime delivery, as well as access to Amazon’s Prime Video service plus much more.

You’ll also be able to share digital content as well as manage your children’s content via Amazon Household.

This is all incredibly handy if you have another member in your household that also pays for a Prime membership as they can simply cancel it and piggyback off of yours.

Under the new pricing that is kicking in later this month, if two people in your household had been paying for Prime this could help your household save up to £95 a year.

Share Prime with Amazon Household

Amazon Prime prices are rising this month. If you want to make the service cheaper then you can share your Amazon Prime subscription with someone else in your household. If you have two people paying for Prime at home then this is ideal as one member of your household can cancel their membership, and still enjoy the benefits of a Prime membership by sharing yours

You will then be able to add an adult account or a children’s account to your household and start sharing content.

This handy trick will be helpful for households across the country looking to save money ahead of the impending Amazon Prime price rise.

In July Amazon announced that price of its Prime service would be rising on September 15 because of “increased inflation and operating costs”.
