If you are stuck in an endless loop of watching people’s Instagram Stories, you’re not alone.
A glitch seems to have been making people re-watch all of someone’s Stories before they’re able to see new ones.
The issue has affected several users since yesterday, with many taking to Twitter and Reddit to share that they’re experiencing the same thing.
Instagram-owner Meta confirmed the glitch to Verge and said they were ‘working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible’.
In what feels like social media hell, Instagram forgets where you left off when viewing someone’s Stories, showing them from the beginning when someone uploads a new story.
It’s unclear how many people have been affected by this error but judging by the complaints on social media, it seems to be a lot.
rewatching instagram stories over and over again is my personal hell
Instagram just rolled out a number of updates introducing parental supervision tools for the accounts of teenagers. The new update could have possibly set off the glitch.
It’s been 24 hours since the issue was first spotted and it does not seem to have been resolved yet.
Metro.co.uk has reached out to Instagram for comment.
