Apple will begin selling spare parts and repair tools for the first time in its history so that iPhone and Mac users can fix their own kit.
In a huge win for campaigners who were demanding the 'right to repair', Apple will launch its 'Self Service Repair' programme, starting with the iPhone 12 and 13 early next year.
It means you'll be able to get your screen, battery, and even camera replaced without having to go to an Apple Store or fork out hundreds for Apple Care coverage.
The tech giant will set up an online store where anyone can order new parts for their gadgets and fit them using a simple manual.
Ordinary customers will pay the same charge for the replacements as licensed repair shops.
Starting in the US, Apple will begin by allowing people to buy around 200 of the most common parts, before expanding to other devices and regions with the necessary parts to repair iPads, Macbooks, and more.
Apple has been under pressure for years to allow people to repair their own iPhones. Doing so previously would needlessly break key features such as FaceID, and even void the warranty.

The company had lobbied to stop laws that would make it a legal requirement to allow self-repair, even going as far to shut down independent businesses offering repairs via the courts.
Apple was due to face a legal challenge over the right to repair, with shareholders putting pressure on the firm to allow it.

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak even made a passionate case for self-repair back in July, despite opposition from Apple bigwigs.
"We wouldn't have had an Apple had I not grown up in a very open technology world," Wozniak said. "It's time to recognise the right to repair more fully."
The demand for easy repair of gadgets has grown stronger in recent years, partly because of the amount of electronic waste that isn't being recycled, as well as consumers tired of having to replace their kit all the time.
