Thousands of Smart TV owners can now tune-in to Disney+ from their telly for the first time. Panasonic has confirmed that Disney+ is now available on all of its 4K TVs from 2017 onwards, which include the My Home Screen operating system. On compatible TVs, the new Disney+ app will appear in the Applications list – so there’s no need to use a streaming set-top box, like an Amazon Fire TV or Apple TV, or satellite service, like Sky Q, to access the streaming service.

For those who don’t know, Disney+ is a Netflix-like streaming service that includes a mixture of fan-favourite shows and movies as well as new exclusive boxsets. Disney+ includes the animated films and musicals that Walt Disney is best known for, as well as every Pixar Studios film, the complete Star Wars saga, documentary series and films from National Geographic, every episode of The Simpsons, and all of the entries in the blockbuster Marvel Cinematic Universe.
